Oil and grease resistant conveyor belts

Oils and greases attack standard rubber – the cover swells, softens, loses strength and separates from the plies. When the conveyed material contains oils, greases or chemicals, a belt with a special nitrile rubber (NBR) cover is used, which retains its properties under such conditions. The belts are manufactured to DIN 22102.

Applications

  • recycling yards and waste treatment plants

  • composting plants

  • fertiliser production

  • agriculture and animal feed production (soy, oilseeds, grain)

  • wood industry (sawdust, chips, boards)

  • cement plants – alternative fuels

  • chemical and metallurgical industry

Three resistance grades

  • Basic – with a low content of vegetable oils or animal fats

  • Enhanced – more aggressive materials – resins, cellulose, fertilisers, animal feed, soy

  • Highest – materials with mineral oils, anti-caking agents in fertiliser production, aggressive resins

We choose the grade according to the type and amount of oil in the material – we advise on each specific case.

FAQ

Why is my belt swelling and softening?

Usually because of oil or grease in the material – a standard cover is not resistant to them.

Which grade do I need?

It depends on the type of oil: vegetable and animal oils need a lower grade, mineral oils the highest.

Can an oil resistant belt also work at higher temperatures?

Versions resistant to both oil and heat are available on request. Heat-resistant belts →

Need an oil-resistant belt?

Send us the belt designation, dimensions and a description of the material – we will get back to you with a quote.
